The World’s pre-eminent super-luxury automotive brand based in Goodwood, near Chichester, West Sussex, which comprises its global headquarters and Global Centre of Luxury Manufacturing Excellence.
Hays are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Bespoke Project Engineer to join our client on an ongoing long term temporary assignment for an approximate duration of 12 months (rolling, reviewed annually).
The successful Engineer will be a part of the strategy, improvement and quality management within the Bespoke Engineering and Purchasing function of the luxury automotive brand.
• Be a part of the team responsible to co-ordinate strategy deployment topics within the cross-functional team including multiple engineering disciplines (series liaison, bespoke mechanical, bespoke electrical, release) and multiple external supply chain disciplines (purchasing and supplied parts quality).
• Working closely with senior stakeholders in the team to maximise continuous improvement within the wider organisation, maximising employee engagement through structured improvement programmes & sprint projects, including digitalisation of tools and methods in pursuit of efficiency gains.
• Co-ordinating our Quality management actions including audits and evaluations to ensure work is performed to required standards.
• Other aspects steered by the team, some of which would be steerable by you: budget steering, compliance steering, facilities steering, training, communication event scheduling and facilitation.
University degree in Engineering, Business Management / Improvement or suitable alternative.
• Significant professional experience in the Automotive industry, including familiarity with “operational excellence methods”.
• Knowledge of Automotive best practice tools and methods, and interactions between to a “trainer level”.
• Capability to understand, conceptualise and steer digital tools / methods in pursuit of organisational improvements.
Hourly rate along with an annual performance related bonus.
