The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for commissioning a range of health and care services across both the Council and NHS in Bury. The role will involve contributing to and leading:
* Understanding the needs of patients and customers
* Developing commissioning strategies, plans, and specifications
* Service design and improvement initiatives
* Contract management, assurance, and service evaluation
* Stakeholder engagement and management
The postholder will be employed by Bury Council but as part of integrated commissioning arrangements will also work on agreed health (NHS) related projects where the responsible commissioner is the Greater Manchester Integrated Care Partnership. These are likely to include projects relating to community health and elective care commissioning.
Hybrid working arrangements will apply with the postholder expected to work flexibly with a mix of home working, office-based work in Bury as well as the ability to travel within Bury and occasionally to meetings in other parts of Greater Manchester when required.
We are looking for a candidate with strong knowledge, skills, and experience across a range of areas including:
* Planning
* Project management
* Stakeholder and relationship management
* Understanding and interpreting data
* Written and verbal communication
Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
