If so we'd love to hear from you About the role: We are currently seeking a Consultant or Senior Ecologist interested in working within the Rail and Construction sectors, for a mix of WFH and site-based work across England and Wales. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for great exposure and development within the rail and construction industries, as you'll be joining a small team, involved in projects at all stages, and receive great training and support to gain further qualifications. The role will involve: ECoW work, habitat surveys and protected species surveys. Talking to clients, managing their requirements, producing quotes, carrying out the work, and producing reports. Conducting ecological surveys and reports Providing ecological advice and toolbox talks Watching briefs and supporting vegetation management operatives and clients. Salary & Benefits: Salary will be in the region of £27,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience and licences/qualifications (negotiable for exceptional candidates). About you: You will need at least 2 years experience (post-qualification) in the Ecology sector, and ideally have at least one protected species licence or be close to obtaining. You will also need: A degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject Experience in undertaking Ecological Clerk of Works roles. A good understanding of relevant legislation, including the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations. Excellent report writing and communication skills Strong project management and organisational skills. Full UK driving licence.
