Salt is excited to collaborate with a Global Leading Telecommunications Giant as they seek to hire a Product Analyst, focused on data dormancy and deletion to play a key role in ensuring their product and its services adhere to worldwide data privacy regulations. In this ASAP starting, circa 6-12 month contract position, you will work closely with product teams, legal, and compliance departments to interpret and integrate privacy requirements throughout their product development process. This role involves collaborating closely with product teams, legal, and compliance departments to analyse, interpret, and implement data dormancy and deletion requirements throughout the product lifecycle. You will work alongside various business stakeholders, developers, and tech teams to ensure that IT systems and applications are designed to meet the organisation's technical and regulatory needs, particularly regarding the orchestration of data dormancy and deletion processes. Key Responsibilities: Analyse and interpret privacy regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant laws, to ensure compliance specifically related to data dormancy and deletion. Translate regulatory requirements into actionable product features and processes focused on effective data retention, dormancy, and deletion practices. Design and support IT systems and applications to manage data lifecycle processes, ensuring that dormant data is appropriately handled and deleted as required by law. Monitor and assess the impact of new and changing privacy regulations on existing and future data management practices, with a focus on data retention and deletion. Collaborate with product teams, legal, and compliance departments to ensure that data dormancy and deletion strategies are integrated into the overall product lifecycle. Your core focus will be on analysing, designing, and supporting IT systems to meet the technical needs of the company, particularly around data dormancy and deletion orchestration products. Key Skills Required: Circa 4 years of experience in privacy, data protection, product management, or a related field. Strong understanding of global privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. Experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex privacy regulations and apply them effectively. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to relay privacy concepts to both technical and non-technical team members Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced environment. Understanding of privacy-by-design principles and privacy engineering. Familiarity with the product development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
