Reception Teacher Role – Main Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that meet the needs of Reception pupils.
* Build a caring and stimulating classroom environment that encourages children to enjoy learning.
* Regularly assess and monitor progress, setting clear next steps for children’s development.
* Foster children’s independence, confidence, and curiosity through a play-based and hands-on learning approach.
* Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and ensure high-quality teaching across the Early Years team.
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them engaged in their child’s learning journey.
* Take part in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as a valued member of the team.
Reception Teacher – What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A degree in Education or a related field.
* Experience teaching in Early Years, ideally in a Reception class.
* Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
* Creative, adaptable, and nurturing teaching style.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Team player committed to inclusive practice and supporting all learners.
* Eagerness to engage in professional development and reflective practice.
