Job Description Join us as a Risk Framework Manager If you have a background in risk assessment, then join our team in helping to anticipate and assess the potential impacts of risk across the bank We’ll look to you to proactively drive the assessment and implementation of risk framework and policy compliance and changes, converting these into appropriate strategies and action plans In this highly collaborative role, you’ll have an ideal platform for building your network and advancing your career, while helping to create a safer environment for the bank What you'll do You’ll be the primary forum representative for all risk framework requirements, co-ordinating consistent messaging, allowing input and feedback to all components of the risk framework ensuring cascade of programme changes and plans across Digital X (DX). Working with senior stakeholders across the bank, you’ll look to drive forward the development and delivery of remedial action plans where identified risks are considered out of appetite. On top of this, you’ll be supporting a culture of proactive and pre-emptive risk management and continuous improvement, and the attainment of operational risk objectives. You'll also be attending the first line of defence forum which is the primary forum for all Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework (EWRMF) requirements. The forum promotes flow of consistent messaging, allows input and feedback to all components of EWRMF and also key cascades of programme changes and plans. The role holder will be required to: Co-ordinate the first line of defence activity and actions required for DX Work closely with the risk and first line of defence framework team and DX control partners to ensure plans are aligned Assist with educating teams on the EWRMF and its obligations Establish an approach to bring the DX control teams together for consistent messaging and embedding, to allow the co-ordinator for DX Controls the ability to provide progress updates for DX as a whole The skills you'll need We’re looking for a highly skilled leader with experience of applying risk and control management in an operational and strategic context. You’ll also bring: Strong knowledge of risk assessment and scenario analysis methodologies in a Financial Services environment Strong business or operational risk experience Proven experience co-ordinating activity across multiple business areas The ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and express requirements effectively at management team and board level Experience of coaching and developing wider teams Experience working to deliver complex projects, and experience applying risk and control management in an operational and strategic context Strong knowledge of project management and controls testing methodologies
