Your impact
Our Water Networks team provides specialist consultancy services to regulated water utilities. We work collaboratively with our clients to help them achieve successful outcomes for their customers and key stakeholders. As part of their strategy to meet the growing demand for water, water companies in England and Wales have set themselves a goal to halve the level of leakage from their networks by 2050.
We have an exciting new opportunity to support the investigation, analysis, and understanding of water demand and leakage. We are looking for experienced leakage practitioners who would be able to join our multidisciplinary team, working on a variety of projects.
This work would include supporting clients with:
* Leakage targeting, planning, and campaign management across all areas of the distribution network (District Metered Areas (DMA), Trunk Mains)
* Pressure management scheme design and optimisation
* Analysis and investigation of DMA water balance components
* Development of demand management and leakage reduction strategies
* Development of innovative leakage analysis tools and optimised strategies for leakage reduction
* Analytical modelling of water network data to support wider water and wastewater network studies
* Providing independent audit and assurance support for regulatory reporting of leakage and per capita consumption in line with Ofwat guidance and industry best practice.
If you believe you have experience in one or more of the above areas, we would be interested to speak with you.
As a key member of the Water Networks team, there would be an opportunity for you to support our audit and assurance services to clients, providing constructive challenge to water companies’ supporting regulatory submissions including business plans, water resources management plans, annual performance commitments, and any other regulatory data requests.
Here's what you'll need:
* Academic or industry-derived qualification relating to engineering, science, geography, or related discipline
* Experience of working in a leakage practitioner role within the water industry
* Experience in data analysis relating to leakage components for the water balance and per capita consumption
