Salary: Starting Salary is £35,235 (Level one) rising to £37,938 (Level four) per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

About the Role
The Traffic & Flood Risk Management Service area seeks to deliver an excellent customer focused service efficiently and effectively, with specific focus on the Council's role as the Highway Authority. This post will work under the supervision of the Technical Lead and the primary purpose is to assess, design and deliver traffic management projects and help deliver the Highway Authorities statutory duties under the Traffic Management Act 2004.
You will be involved with the preparation of Traffic Regulation Orders and have the skills to explain contentious and complicated highway proposals demonstrating diplomacy, accountability, and approachability in an ever-changing work environment.
We are looking for a proactive and efficient individual, who can put citizens and customers first and work with a range of internal and external stakeholders. They must also be organised and have excellent communication skills to ensure that the outputs of the service area are maintained to professional standards.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* A working experience of current practice for the design, construction, and successful delivery of Traffic Management schemes.
* An understanding of Traffic Regulation Orders and associated highway legislation.
* The ability to develop inclusive, transparent plans that are focused on citizen outcomes.
* Experience in budget management processes, procurement procedures and contract/commissioning processes.
* A can-do attitude and willingness to learn and understand complex highway processes.
* Ability to work and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and experience of handling conflict.
