This hands-on and varied role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain. Key Accountabilities Inventory Management:Maintain accurate stock levels, conduct regular audits, and implement strategies to minimize waste and optimize storage. Purchasing:Source and procure materials and products, negotiate with suppliers, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery. Supplier Relations:Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring the best quality and pricing for materials. Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data to forecast needs, identify trends, and make informed decisions to support business objectives. Process Improvement:Continuously evaluate and improve stock and purchasing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, sales, and finance, to align inventory and purchasing strategies with overall business goals. Our ideal candidate Our ideal candidate is a hands-on, can-do person who is proactive and detail-oriented, with a passion for optimising supply chain processes. They possess strong analytical skills and can make data-driven decisions to support business objectives. Excellent negotiation and communication skills are essential, as is building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. The ideal candidate is proficient in inventory management software and ERP systems and has a proven track record in stock control and purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment. They are a team player who can work collaboratively with other departments and independently when needed. Desirables Proven experience in stock control and purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Previous experience in a purchasing or warehouse environment is preferred. Experience using ERP systems. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
