An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist to join a dynamic, proactive and friendly Occupational Health Department. The team cover the whole of the Northern Care Alliance, your post will be based at Royal Oldham Monday, Thursday & Friday. Other sites would be covered on the other days. The team can offer options around job share or flexible working, candidates should make it known on their applications if wanting to apply for these options.
This is a great career progression for an enthusiastic, motivated MSK physiotherapist wanting to take their skills to a new level. You will be assessing and treating an engaged and motivated population who are keen to remain in work, commit to their rehabilitation programmes and receive manual treatment as required.
The department is passionate about CPD and you will be provided training to develop occupational health specific skills. These include workstation assessments and reporting to managers regarding fitness to work, workplace adjustments, and phased returns to work. Team members have a high level of job satisfaction due to having an immediate impact on staff members health and wellbeing, good diary control, flexibility and autonomy.
• You will work autonomously to assess, treat and manage a varied MSK caseload of self and management referral from NCA colleagues. This will predominantly be face to face with some virtual work also. You will work in a team of band 6 and 7 therapists.
· The role will entail some lone working therefore you must be able to demonstrate a level of experience and competence to work independently. Clinics are based within the occupational health departments and within main hospital physiotherapy departments.
· You will regularly liaise with managers through writing formal reports regarding fitness to work, appropriate reasonable adjustments or support in the workplace to promote health and wellbeing at work.
· You will complete display screen equipment assessments and champion physical health across the North Care Alliance both in consultations and through health promotion events.
· You will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and time management skills, and should have a strong background in MSK physiotherapy.
• You will assist in supervising and delegate to physiotherapy students and a band 3 physiotherapy assistant.
