Safeguarding Vulnerable People Partnership (SVPP) - Safeguarding Communities
A unique opportunity has arisen to join the Wiltshire Safeguarding Vulnerable People Partnership (SVPP) team as a Senior Partnership Lead and Childrens Safeguarding Lead. This post is an excellent opportunity to widen your experience of partnership and multiagency working, leading key projects and development areas relating to childrens safeguarding.
The SVPP brings together the work of the childrens safeguarding partnership, the Safeguarding Adult Board, the Community Safety Partnership and safeguarding partners to collaborate to ensure we are effective in our safeguarding of children and adults.
Main duties of the job
You will lead and manage a busy team that works to support the partnership. You will be a skilled, and proactive individual who can provide strategic support and leadership and drive forward the work of the SVPP. You will be required to network with partner agencies at a senior strategic and operational level and therefore experience of partnership working would be desirable. With the ability to influence strategic partners and forge effective relationships across the partnership you will support the development of effective safeguarding arrangements for vulnerable children and adults throughout Wiltshire.
Educated to degree level you will ideally hold a recognised professional qualification in social work, nursing, teaching, or policing. You will bring substantial experience focused on supporting children or adults and have extensive strategic knowledge within a safeguarding context, managing staff in a multi-agency environment. A strong understanding of relevant legislation and guidance related to the protection of children and young people and vulnerable adults alongside the ability to produce high quality reports will be essential.
This post works to the Safeguarding Partners and is hosted by Wiltshire Council but funded by the SVPP.
