£70,000 + £7500 KPi Bonus
Monday - Friday Days
Our client is an industrial processing business, part of a larger group, with multiple sites in the UK. They are looking for a proactive and driven Site Engineering Manager to lead & develop their engineering team.
Role & Responsibilities:
Managing a team of X14 people
Ensure that the engineering department complies with health & safety, hygiene standards
Manage the engineering operation in line with KPi and budgetary targets
Create and monitor staff training & development plans
Team reviews, appraisals, disciplinaries, RTW's, holiday management
Manage contractor activity, liaise with engineering suppliers, ordering spares & inventory control
Be point of contact for out of hours support to engineers when needed
Continuous improvement plans, projects, promote lean manufacturing incentives
Review plant performance regularly
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Must be an experienced engineering manager
Focussed individual on team development and performance plans
Flexible person - be available at the end of a phone to support when needed
Must have worked in some form of high-speed / volume manufacturing industry
Able to run an engineering department that works to group level standards & KPi's
Supplier management, inventory control
Health & safety management experience
Ideally NEBOSH qualified
Time-served engineer
Budget control & forecasting experience
Approachable and confident man-manager
