A renowned consultancy, known for delivering high-quality services across various sectors, is seeking an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join their Birmingham team.
The successful Principal Designer will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and managing design risks for a diverse range of clients, including those in commercial, residential, retail, and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities of the CDM Principal Designer:
Lead the implementation and compliance of CDM regulations across multiple projects.
Provide expert advice on safety regulations and design risk management.
Oversee the development of pre-construction information and construction phase plans.
Conduct health and safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Facilitate design review meetings and workshops to ensure risk management is prioritised.
Collaborate with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure effective communication of health and safety requirements.
Requirements for the CDM Principal Designer:
Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and design risk management.
Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or equivalent.
Extensive experience in a senior or leadership role within a consultancy environment.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with diverse teams.
