Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant Location: Chesterfield (S41) Pay Rate: £100 per day GSL Education is seeking a compassionate and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to support secondary schools in Chesterfield. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs thrive academically and personally in a supportive and understanding environment. Job Responsibilities: • Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, ensuring their academic and personal development. • Assist in implementing individual education and behavior support plans. • Build positive, trusting relationships with students to help them overcome challenges and build resilience. • Support teachers in delivering lessons, adapting strategies to meet the needs of SEMH students. • Promote a calm, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student progress and well-being. Requirements: • Experience working with students with SEMH needs or in a similar role. • Understanding of behavior management strategies and techniques for supporting SEMH students. • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one. • Patience, empathy, and dedication to supporting the unique needs of SEMH learners. • UK Driving License and Business Insurance.
