Role: Senior Administrator - Education and SEND support
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Are you an experienced administrator with a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEND)? We are currently seeking a Senior Administrator to join a specialist education setting in Bournemouth. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team, providing vital administrative support to staff, students, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Organising and preparing annual Reviews and three-monthly reviews for new students
* Managing and maintaining SEND student records, including pupil folders and SEND review documentation
* Communicating with staff, parents/carers, local authorities, and external agencies, ensuring accurate and timely information sharing
* Collaborating with teaching staff, link schools, and external stakeholders to collect and manage relevant SEND information
* Supporting general administration tasks, including reception duties (outside of term time), answering calls, and assisting the wider admin team
* Providing direct support to the Lead SENCO and overseeing data entry on the Behaviour Watch system
* Managing fleet operations and student bursaries
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
* Knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEND)
* Experience with the annual review process
* Administration qualifications
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Desirable:
* Familiarity with the SEND framework
* Previous experience in an educational setting
