Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others? Look no further! Our @ The Acorn social group is seeking a dedicated support worker to join our amazing team. If you have a heart for helping others and want to be part of a welcoming community, we want to hear from you!
You will help support and organise fun activities and ensure everyone is included - your role will make a difference.
The social group works with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, including those with profound and multiple learning disabilities. Typical activities include arts and crafts, putting, Boccia, games nights, cake decorating, picture or music bingo, table tennis, bongos, and more. External groups also visit the club such as the OBJ Morris Troupe, yoga teachers, and hand bell ringers.
The club runs on Tuesday evenings at The Acorn Centre, Woosehill, Wokingham from 7pm – 9pm. You will assist the Co-ordinator in setting up and running activities and attend training as required.
We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our team. Experience in similar positions is desirable, but training will be given to the successful applicant.
References, an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service), and a Right to Work check will be carried out on successful candidates.
