What you will be doing As Site, Facilities & Infrastructure, we are responsible for running and maintaining the 156 acre Barrow site and ensuring it is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We utilise a highly skilled, fully flexible team, ensuring legislative compliance and minimum disruption to enable the shipyard to build submarines safely and efficiently. The work we do is key to maintaining our Nuclear Site Licence. In this dynamic role, you will be at the heart of our operations, playing a crucial part in ensuring our site runs smoothly around the clock. As part of the site operations team, you will be responsible for helping to maintain and optimise our facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and supporting the ongoing transformation of our site. Duties and Responsibilities • Opportunities to work within our Facilities, Tenancy, and Estates Management teams to support site operations and deliver essential services. • Assist in delivering facilities management activities, including site services, space management, and utilities infrastructure to ensure smooth site operations. • Manage and oversee planned maintenance, refurbishments, and repairs, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards. • Engage in the full lifecycle of site and facilities management, from initial service provision to construction delivery and ongoing maintenance. • Respond to routine and emergency situations with effective problem-solving, ensuring minimal disruption to site operations. • Coordinate and manage third-party contractors performing facilities tasks, ensuring work is delivered on time and meets quality standards. Skills As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be on track to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Facilities Management.
