Introduction
We have an exciting temporary opportunity for a Learning Services Coordinator to join our central team, supporting the operational delivery of our tailored learning pathways. At New Meaning Training (NMT), we’re looking for someone who can help us empower young people to live more independently through innovative programmes that develop skills for employment, training, and personal development, alongside English and Maths Functional Skills.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, self-disciplined, and detail-oriented, with an eye for good aesthetics. It requires adaptability and flexibility, combining remote work with meaningful in-person engagement across multiple locations. You’ll regularly be based at our HQ in High Wycombe, while also travelling fairly regularly to the other main centres in Reading and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Expertise in leveraging advanced MS Suite functionalities will ensure our resources are visually compelling, highly organised, and accessible, enhancing the learning experience. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of diverse learner needs, ensuring that all activities are engaging, accessible, and written in clear, straightforward language to support comprehension and confidence.
We’re looking for a proactive team player with a valid driver’s license and access to their own car, someone who thrives in a flexible and multi-location role. You’ll also need to embrace the rewarding challenge of creating and managing multiple schemes of work and resources tailored to each learner’s individual needs—something that truly sets us apart from mainstream schools. Key Responsibilities
· To assist in the development of learning resources following criteria set by NOCN for qualifications including: Functional Skills English and Maths, Skills for Employment training and Personal Development and Employability
· Create engaging interactive activities to reinforce learning (using resources like Triptico and Kahoot).
· Updating resources in line with brand guidelines.
· To assist with the ongoing policy maintenance and development by proof-reading and creating flowcharts and knowledge check quizzes.
· Collate data for reporting.
· Support with the administration and organisation of Quality Assurance sessions.
· To assist the Learning Services Manager with projects, as required.
You will have:
· A valid driver’s license, access to your own car and business travel insurance.
· GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English – minimum grade C / 5.
· Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office365
· Time management and self-organised/planner, able to work with multiple deadlines.
· Proven education sector experience including developing and reviewing educational resources, schemes of work and lesson plan development with a good understanding of statutory requirements.
· An understanding of learning styles and a passion for sharing knowledge and developing young people.
· Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
· Strong communication skills, with a diplomatic approach to feedback.
· Excellent record-keeping
· A pragmatic attitude to analysing issues and problem solving.
· Up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws.
· Experience and/or knowledge of quality assurance.
· Good understanding of safeguarding practice.

New Meaning Training offers education with a difference. It is an alternative education provider helping young people aged 16-25 to find their strengths and develop the confidence and skills to earn their own living. Around 250 young people will join one of our programmes this year, many having been referred by secondary schools, pupil referral units and Special Education Needs (SEN) settings. We have a mix of eight learning programmes (not all offered at all locations); Construction Multiskills, Motor Mechanics, Sports, Beauty, Work & Study, Sports, Boost Workskills and Achieve Lifeskills. All our programmes incorporate functional skills qualifications (Maths and English). Since New Meaning Training opened its first centre in High Wycombe in 2015, the organisation is now supporting young people across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Warwickshire and Berkshire.
