Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (8:30 AM - 12:30 PM) Location: Primary Nurture Base, Oldham Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join the nurture room at a Primary school in Oldham for the Summer term. In this role, you’ll support SEN students in the schools nurture rooms who are low or non verbal, there may be the need to support with personal care too. The succesful candidate will need to be a caring and understanding person that is experienced working with students with a high level of needs. You will be providing a safe and structured environment to help the students to feel settled and to thrive. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the delivery of tailored learning support for children with SEN Provide individual and group support during lessons, ensuring children are engaged and motivated Support in managing classroom behavior and ensuring a positive learning environment Work 1-1 with students through the day to help the children build self-confidence and social skills through nurturing and personalised care Communicate effectively with teachers and parents about progress and needs We’re looking for someone who: Has experience working with children, ideally within a SEN setting Is patient, empathetic, and dedicated to helping children succeed Has excellent communication and teamwork skills Can commit to working from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Monday to Friday A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or similar) is preferred, but not essential What we offer: A supportive and friendly team Opportunities for professional development and training A rewarding role making a real difference in children’s lives If you are passionate about supporting children with SEN and want to be part of an inspiring team, we’d love to hear from you Interviews will be held at the School over the coming weeks.
