Job Description
You will provide effective administrative support to the Transport Department. Acting as a main point of contract for drivers whilst they are on the road, ensuring their routes go to plan and dealing with queries. This is customer based role liaising with the customers if any issues occur, you will need to be a problem solver and be able to think on your feet.
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off days – 7am-7pm
Salary: £25,116
What will you be doing?
1. Administration and data entry to maintain the Company’s systems for WTD and tachograph rules and regulations
2. Monitoring and maintaining records for agency drivers.
3. Briefing and De-briefing drivers on their daily work tasks
4. Dealing with driver and customer queries
5. Creating Driver run sheets
6. Receiving and monitoring fuel deliveries, maintaining the fuel monitoring system
7. Scanning pods into the TMS
8. Providing various reports / spreadsheets for internal departments in a timely manner
9. Carrying out any other formal and legal duties
10. Record keeping
11. Working closely with the Transport Supervisor to adapt the daily plan when delays occur.
12. Carry out Driver licence checks
Qualifications
13. Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
14. Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment
15. Able to work using own initiative and with little supervision
16. Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook (or equivalent)
17. Previous experience gained in a similar role is preferred but not essential
18. Experience in an FMCG environment is desirable
