About the role
As the Safety Leader for the Land Defence Group you will be the primary expert and principle point of contact for the Land sector within a multi-domain safety capability.
You will be responsible for knowledge management of land safety regulations and safety standards, maintenance of the technical capability and technical assurance of project and bid outputs. The role will include direct work on projects, support to and leading bidding activity and is suited to someone with an Army background or similar domain experience.
About you
You will have knowledge and experience of safety assessment and analysis techniques and application across a variety of systems and platforms. You will have the ability to apply processes and tools and develop safety evidence for compliance against defence land regulations and relevant standards, with an appreciation of complex defence land systems and platforms.
You will have relevant academic qualifications and/or professional accreditations in an engineering and/or safety discipline, and will show a good understanding of relevant regulations and standards such as DSA 02: Defence Land Safety Regulator, ASEMS POSMS, Def Stan 00-056 and Def Stan 00-055, with experience of safety assessment and/or independent safety audit.
