Job Summary
Wild Planet Trust is a registered education, scientific and conservation charity established in 1957 and based in Devon, UK. We own two zoos in Southwest England, plus two local nature reserves and a National Nature Reserve. We support conservation in the United Kingdom and overseas using funds generated by the people who visit the zoos and the expertise and dedication of our staff.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Team Leader to join our Marketing team on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours over 5 days. The salary for this position is £28,977 per annum.
What will this role involve?
In this role you will lead and supervise the team on a day-to-day basis ensuring development and delivery of the Marketing strategy, the annual programme of events and co-ordinate content production. Assist the Head of Commercial – Communications and Marketing in achieving effective management of all areas of Marketing and the team. You will have line management responsibility for the Marketing Executive who is based at our Newquay site.
What skills and experience are required?
The ideal candidate will have 5 years’ experience of working in a similar role and of working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment as well as experience of liaising with agencies. Experience of supervising or people management would be beneficial. A broad understanding of marketing and digital marketing practices in the leisure and tourism industry is essential as well as excellent communication and organisational skills. Working knowledge of SEO best practices and a strong background in customer acquisition would be advantageous. A CIM advanced certificate in Marketing or Degree in marketing/media would be an advantage. CRM software and Mass Mailer experience are a bonus.
