PERFECT CANDIDATE are pleased to be working with a leading distributor of wire and cable, connectors, harness management products and added-value services for to the Aerospace and Defence sector.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be able to build a solid working relationship with customers (internal and external). You will work pro-actively to increase customer sales eg by gathering market and customer programme/project information and identify any sales opportunities including expanding the product portfolio.Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, passion for sales and forward thinking with a can-do attitude to ensure and provide an excellent customer experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work closely with the National Account Manager to support and win business on customer new projects/programmes;
* Build a rapport with current and new customers proactively at every customer touchpoint;
* Respond to quotes, orders, general enquiries (including web quotes and orders) and the administration of all necessary paperwork such as new customer process and new product process in a timely manner;
* Process new customer forms, credit applications, trade and bank references to provide credit terms for new customers;
* Review customer orders and related purchase orders and contracts for conformance to company policy;
* Expedite necessary documents for the export department, EUC and freight/customs:
* Run regular customer reports including backlog reports, warehouse status reports;
* Respond and resolve customer complaints in liaison with the QC Department;
* Attend training to gain and stay current with the company products and services;
* Ensure computer and CRM systems up to date.

* Fluent in French and English (oral and written);
* Demonstrable experience in a customer facing role;
* Efficient and sales-oriented with a commitment to achieving goals and increasing sales;
* Strong internal and external communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and a team player;
* Good planning and organisational skills;
* Flexible with a can-do attitude;
* Resilient and assertive;
* Working knowledge of CRM systems (ideally Salesforce);
* Good working knowledge of MS-Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint);
* Commercial apprenticeship or similar – desirable.
