Description Salary £53,888 - £58,282 Per Annum | Permanent, Full time | 37 Hours per week About us: Cultural Services is a 'family' of services and includes a large library service (64 static libraries, 5 mobile libraries, 5 prison libraries, home library service and resources team), a museum service (6 museums, conservation studio and archaeological site), conservation service, heritage learning team, archive and family history service, music service and music hub, outdoor education service and cultural and information development. Cultural Services comprises of around 800 staff spread across the Lancashire County Council footprint. About you: Are you a dynamic manager interested in leading the Libraries and Heritage teams? The ideal candidate will hold a degree in a relevant subject and a management qualification, with a professional qualification being desirable. You should have significant experience in managing a strategic operation/service. You must be able to demonstrate effective leadership and management of a diverse workforce to support excellence in service delivery and we are looking for someone who is innovative and creative in their approach to managing changing and challenging environments. The role: As the Libraries and Heritage Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and management to, Libraries, the School Library Service, Prison Library Service, Mobile Library Service and the Museum Service (Museum sites, Collections, Conservation Service and Heritage Learning Team). You will provide leadership and management within Cultural Services on life-long learning and digital. You will be leading across the service area at a senior level to inform service planning, development, delivery and associated budget management. This is a permanent post based at County Hall, Preston. The hours are 37 per week working Monday to Friday.
