deverellsmith have been instructed to find a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to oversee two small-scale developments in Surrey - Weybridge. This is a chance to join a reputable developer with a passion for creating exceptional residential spaces. As the Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of the project, from inception to completion. Your expertise in construction management and your ability to lead and inspire on-site teams will be essential to delivering a high-quality development on time and within budget.
Proven background in building high-end, small-scale units - grade II listed buildings, mansions, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead day-to-day on-site operations, supervising and coordinating all construction activities to meet project milestones and deadlines.
2. Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring that all works are carried out in compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
3. Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to foster positive working relationships and drive project progress.
4. Monitor construction progress, reviewing schedules, and implementing effective strategies to keep the project on track.
5. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and promptly address any issues or concerns that may arise.
6. Manage project budgets, reviewing cost reports, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization without compromising on quality.
7. Provide regular updates and reports to the project management team, keeping them informed of project status, challenges, and achievements.
8. Work closely with the design and planning teams to ensure the project adheres to specifications and contractual requirements.
9. Proactively identify and resolve potential obstacles, demonstrating problem-solving skills to maintain project momentum.
10. Cultivate a positive and collaborative on-site culture, promoting teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to excellence among site personnel.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in small-scale development projects.
2. Strong knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
3. Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of effectively managing on-site teams and liaising with various stakeholders.
4. Organisational proficiency, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple aspects of the project simultaneously.
5. A results-driven attitude with a dedication to delivering projects with the highest standards of quality and attention to detail.
6. Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field will be advantageous.
