We have an exciting opportunity to join our Agriculture, Countryside and Environment team, to course-lead, plan and deliver across our land based provision, but primarily on our Tree and woodland management T-Level, and forestry technical qualifications. The T-Level and technical qualifications offer students wishing to enter the arboriculture and woodland management sector, a dynamic opportunity to study the theoretical components of the industry, whilst developing their practical skills working with industry partners and on our vast, diverse estate.
We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to deliver across our Land-based provision, but in particular, we are looking for an individual with experience of working in a forestry and arboriculture discipline, who is skilled in chainsaw use, climbing, and tree management, with a confidence in teaching subjects such as woodland habitat management, tree surveys and inspections and estate skills
Applicants should have a strong history of professional vocational experience in a field relevant to the role. Ideally applicants should be educated to degree level, be a qualified teacher, or, if not, have the commitment to obtain a teaching qualification upon appointment.
You will be able to deliver high quality planned sessions to students which are active and engaging, and you will support student progress to ensure they reach their full potential.
In addition, you are passionate about planning and implementing strategies for the ongoing successful delivery of an effective, high-quality curriculum and will be able to work closely with departmental colleagues and the wider college team to ensure that the requirements of the qualifications outlined in the specifications are met.
