If you are a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, then we want you! We are seeking a skilled Data Information Manager to join our dynamic team at the Great North Children’s Hospital. The successful applicant will oversee data collection, storage, and management processes relating to patients treated within the department of Paediatric cystic fibrosis. The successful candidate will ensure that data input adheres to and maintains the cystic fibrosis registry and Cystic Fibrosis Trust data collection.
Main duties of the job
* Oversee data collection, storage, and management processes.
* Contribute to important ongoing research studies within CF.
* Ensure data integrity and security across all platforms.
* Collaborate with consultants and specialist nurses to optimise data utilisation.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
If successful, you will be responsible for liaising with clinical and non-clinical professional staff for the delivery of a high standard of care. Your role will directly impact patient experience and be part of providing seamless delivery of care. You should be self-motivated, reliable, and well organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work efficiently and methodically with good attention to detail without direct supervision.
* To be responsible for the collection of data relating to patients treated within the department of Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis Service.
* Work with other data managers in the Paediatric directorate to respond to all requests for data required for clinical governance.
* Submit data to various registries including the UK CF registry.
* To collate and enter statistical information received within GNCH.
* To provide data required for national targets such as the specialized service quality dashboard (SSQD).
Person specification
Qualifications & Education
* Educated to A level standard or equivalent.
* Qualification in Service or Quality Improvement.
Knowledge & Experience
* Must be experienced in all aspects of Microsoft Windows applications.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Previous experience of data management.
* Previous experience in a health care environment.
Skills & Abilities
* Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and demonstrate organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to accurately transfer data from one medium to another.
