Teaching Assistant SEN School Full time - 37 hours a week, term time only Temp to Perm Salary when on contract £19,934 Monday to Thursday 8.30-4.30pm and Friday finishes at 4pm DBS on the update service Own Transport NEEDED School Staffing Solutions are working with a SEN School on the outskirts of Andover that supports young people, aged 11 - 19, with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder, typically, high functioning and/or with associated disorders We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join, and support, the well established and successful staff team at the School. This is a temp to perm opportunity whereby after successfully completing 12 working weeks you will go onto a direct contract with the school. This role is ideal for those who have a genuine passion for helping children and young people, with a wide range of special educational needs, and also a fantastic opportunity for those considering a career in teaching to gain valuable first-hand experience. What will you be doing: Support students in lessons Assist the teacher in the preparation of work, resources and equipment for the lessons Support students during on and off-site activities as appropriate Complete require paperwork to record observations and interventions. What are we looking for in you? Previous experience of working with young people in a classroom environment would be desirable, but not essential as training will be given. You will be educated to GCSE level 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths. You will be committed to personal learning and development Have a positive ' can do ' attitude, a willingness to ' get stuck in ' and use initiative An understanding on Autism and Learning Difficulties Why this role?
