Job Description:
It’s an exciting time to join UKSBS as we transform our business to be the leading UK public sector business service provider. We aim to become a very different organisation over the next few years as we move to a modern multi-platform, digitally enabled organisation. We are changing, and you don’t want to miss it.
Our people are the heart of our success. We are always looking for talented individuals to join our team and play a part in that success. That’s why we invest and grow our workforce.
Whether you're a school-leaver or looking for a career change, we have opportunities for you to gain hands-on experience and kickstart your professional journey. With us, you’re setting yourself up for a brilliant and fulfilling career in one of the UK's leading public sector business services providers.
With our range of apprenticeship opportunities across multiple business areas, you’ll be in the heart of a customer-focused, forward-thinking digital organisation.
As a UKSBS apprentice, you will help us to drive the standard in customer care, whilst learning and developing your skills, and working towards a recognised industry qualification.
What you’ll get from your apprenticeship with UKSBS:
* a career kickstart,
* a recognised qualification,
* industry experience,
* protected learning time,
* a dedicated manager,
* support from our Early Careers Coordinator,
* you’ll also join a community of other apprentices…and more!
In return for your talent and contributions, we offer flexible and family friendly working arrangements, a generous benefits package, an inclusive working environment that values your contribution, and opportunities to develop your skills and career with us.
At UKSBS, we’ll embrace your curiosity and tenacity and empower you to improve how we do things.
If this sounds good to you, you’re ready to take the next step. Here’s what to do:
Complete your expression of interest by 30th August 2024.
We require a personal statement as part of expressing your interest. Your statement should set out the kind of apprenticeship you are most interested in, your education history including exam subjects/results, and any other key achievements.
You must also include a short answer to the following three questions, no more than 200 words per question.
* Please provide details on your interests – including career aspirations. What motivated you to apply for this apprenticeship program, and what skills or experiences do you think you can bring to the role?
* How do you think you will benefit from an apprenticeship in this field, and what do you hope to achieve during your time with UKSBS?
* Can you give an example of a time when you overcame a challenge or achieved a difficult goal? How did you approach the situation, and what was the outcome?
We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if we receive a high level of interest.
Once we have reviewed the expressions of interest, we will work with you to match your interests with relevant opportunities and guide you through the application process for a specific apprenticeship.
Working pattern
Full Time – 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) core hours are between 8:00 – 17:00, hours to be reduced accordingly to enable protected learning time and study.
