The Acute and General Medicine Directorate forms part of the Integrated & Specialist Medicine Clinical Group and is based on the St Thomas’s Hospital site. The Urgent and Emergency Care and Support Services Directorate runs a range of services including General Medicine, the Emergency Floor, Homeless Team, Alcohol Care Team and the REACH service.

Education and Qualifications
* Prince 2 qualification or equivalent experience
Previous Experience
* Extensive operational management experience in large complex organisations, including healthcare environments.
* Experience working across multiple organisations to secure change and proven track record of overcoming obstacles to change.
* Experience of developing, monitoring and managing budgets.
* Experience of working in complex clinical environments.
* Demonstrable success in delivering change and performance with management and clinical teams.
Skills / Knowledge / Ability
* Highly developed knowledge and understanding of organisational development and change.
* Advanced analytical and judgement skills including understanding and application of complex statistical and numerical data.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal including advanced formal presentation skills.
* Ability to gather and incorporate the views of service users and carers into service change.
* Ability to influence and motivate senior managers and clinicians.
* Competent in using Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
* Able to maintain professionalism and leadership under pressure.
