Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing equipment performance and reducing plant downtime through proactive maintenance strategies and swift response to breakdowns.
Key Responsibilities
* The Maintenance Engineer will address plant faults and defects to maintain optimal operational status at all times.
* They will complete reactive tasks site-wide, while proactively identifying root causes and suggesting improvement areas.
* The role involves ensuring adherence to Engineering control procedures, such as LOTOTO and Permit Systems.
* Scheduled preventive maintenance (PPM) on all mechanical and electrical plant equipment per site task schedules and asset lists is also a key responsibility.
* The Maintenance Engineer must report any critical operational issues of equipment to Engineering management immediately.
* Accurate completion of all required documentation and computerised records is essential.
* The role requires following all current organisational work instructions.
* Fully adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations while executing duties is crucial.
* Taking on any additional tasks that align with capabilities is also required.
Requirements
* The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with assembly and moulding equipment.
* Completion of an advanced engineering apprenticeship or relevant qualification is necessary.
* A minimum of 4 years of engineering experience in a similar role is required.
* Familiarity with PLC systems is preferred.
* Certification to IEE 17th or 18th Edition standards is ideal.
* A background in air systems and pneumatics is desirable.
* The ability to work independently or collaboratively as needed is essential.
* A solid understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental processes and compliance is required.
What We Offer
The salary for this role is £38,750 - £45,000 per annum. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a growing company and take the next step in their engineering career.
