About the role
This is a varied and exciting role, which will support with all areas of communication at Swoop, from end-to-end customer communications to over 5,000 customers a year, to internal communications to a 100+ strong global team. The role will also help deliver our customer opinion and feedback strategy, making sure we harness insight, understand our customers and optimise our product, service and experience.
You will collaborate with teams from across the company, from the sales team to the customer service team, to deliver consistent and on-brand customer communications that engage and support our customers from the start of their journey to the moment they return. Your strong copywriting skills will help us to ensure our customers have the experience of a lifetime. As a confident communicator you will instill the importance of clear, effective communications throughout Swoop, and help other Swoopers improve their communication skills, too.
Alongside the Communications & Insights Manager you will deliver internal communications that bring together over 100 Swoopers worldwide, making sure that everyone feels connected, informed and motivated, whether they are based in Bristol or Buenos Aires, Cape Town or Christchurch.
As a customer opinion and feedback champion, you will monitor mentions of Swoop, manage reviews on external websites and support all areas of our internal customer feedback strategy, so that we are continually learning and improving.
Key responsibilities
Customer Communications
1. Managing our copywriting style guidelines and tone of voice guidelines
2. Creating and managing email templates in line with guidelines, in collaboration with our Sales and Customer Experience teams
3. Delivering communication training to all new customer-facing Swoopers
4. Reviewing and responding to social media comments
5. Managing high priority ad hoc customer communications
6. Reviewing, editing and writing customer-facing copy, as required
Internal Communications
1. Managing our monthly all-company meetings to ensure the content is appropriate and engaging, well-presented and that the meetings run smoothly
2. Identifying and managing tools that support Swooper collaboration
3. Developing new communication templates for Swoopers to use
4. Working with the Event Planner to deliver communications that engage and prepare Swoopers for our flagship annual event, our Swoop Summer Adventure, and Journey Together June, the 2 week period in which our global community comes together to re-connect and re-energise
5. Training and supporting Swoopers (including our Senior Leadership and Management Team) to create engaging slides and presentations
6. Creating and managing our dedicated internal comms photo library
7. Reviewing, editing and writing internal comms copy, as required
Customer Opinion & Feedback
1. Supporting with improvements and process changes related to our customer opinion and feedback strategy
2. Responding to external reviews
3. Supporting our CX team to generate reviews on external platforms
4. Monitoring brand mention alerts and notifying internal stakeholders
5. Managing our Glassdoor and LinkedIn profiles
About you
1. You’re a natural copywriter, able to write engaging and creative copy in line with a defined tone of voice
2. You’re a skilled and confident communicator, both orally and in writing, and you enjoy helping other people communicate well
3. You’re familiar with email marketing tools, such as MailChimp, or similar
4. You enjoy working beyond your immediate team, and collaborating with a range of stakeholders and influencing others, including management and senior leadership
5. You have an eye for visuals and design - bonus points if you have working experience of graphic design tools
6. You enjoy taking responsibility for initiatives and tasks, and are happy rolling up your sleeves to get things done
7. You have a passion for travel and/or a sense of adventure - even better if that’s to one of our destinations
Employment details
1. Salary of between £30,000 & £35,000, including a monthly company bonus, depending on experience
2. Twenty-five days paid holiday, in addition to your birthday and public holidays
3. Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (part-time hours considered)
4. Based at our Bristol office at least one day per week, so living in/near Bristol or within a commutable distance would be ideal
