The Role:
To manage and control projects and associated quality assurance processes, including the management of the audit process, while supporting and managing necessary quality assurance, document control, and system resources required to provide effective support to the project.
Key Activities:
* Responsible for providing quality-related advice and guidance to the project.
* Ensure full utilization of internal reporting systems to capture all quality-related data, such as audit findings, non-conformities, observations, and improvement opportunities.
* Prepare and review Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, and supporting QA documentation.
* Validate the implementation and effectiveness of project corrective actions resulting from any non-conformities or audits.
* Promote a 'Right First Time' approach to quality and safety.
* Maintain and review quality performance monitoring against agreed KPIs.
* Oversee quality operations to ensure adherence to documentation and specifications.
* Liaise with relevant project stakeholders regarding quality requirements and documentation.
* Encourage a continuous improvement philosophy.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Good engineering and QA/QC background.
* Experience in developing project QA documentation (Quality Plans, ITPs, etc.) and reviewing supplier QA documentation.
* Knowledge of pipework, steelwork, and insulation – desirable.
* Current knowledge and experience of Quality Management Systems in regulated environments such as construction, petrochemical, aerospace, etc.
* Proficiency in problem resolution tools and techniques.
* Knowledge of KPIs and performance monitoring techniques.
* Ability to interpret ISO standards, technical drawings, and specifications (desirable).
* Computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office suite.
* Experience in highly regulated industries (petrochemical, oil & gas, aviation, construction).
* Recognized and current IRCA Internal Auditor qualification – essential.
* Recognized quality qualification/certification – essential.
* Welding knowledge (CSWIP 3.1) – desirable.
