We are looking to recruit Electricians for ongoing rolling stock maintenance and overhaul projects in line with standards and regulatory requirements.
THE ROLE:
Remove and refit electrical components.
Carry out modifications to rolling stock in accordance with relevant work instructions and specifications.
Carry out inspection, maintenance and testing of rolling stock systems in accordance with vehicle instructions.
Where required, provide support for fault-finding and diagnosis of rolling stock systems.
Accurate interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
Accurate completion of paperwork and work instruction.
Work effectively as part of the production team.
Work safely and in accordance with all mandatory requirements.
Hours: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday; 7:30 am – 4:30 pm Friday; some nightshift working may be required (9:30 pm – 7:30 am Monday to Thursday).
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience of component removal and refit of electrical systems.
Demonstrate experience of fault finding and diagnosis of electrical systems (ideally in a rolling stock environment).
SVQ/NVQ Level 3 Electrical or Dual Skilled Qualification (or equivalent).
Minimum NC Electrical (or equivalent)
Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
Ability to develop & maintain good working relationships.
Ability to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to procedures.
Understands and cares for tools, equipment and PPE as appropriate.
Methodical in approach to problems and have good attention to detail.
Ability to identify problems and immediate resolutions whilst under pressure.
