Vacancy An opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join our Corporate team in Oxford. Our Corporate team advises all manor of clients, from entrepreneurial start-ups to major international businesses, we work with companies in protecting their interests over the full range of their business and trading arrangements. Much of the work that we do has an international dimension and we regularly advise clients on their plans to enter or expand in the UK. We specialise in the technology, retail, manufacturing and banking and finance sectors. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of files, dealing effectively with cases and transactions. Work closely in the team to deliver a high standard of legal advice in a commercially astute manner, maintaining a consistent level of excellent client service Manage and deal effectively with a variety of transactional projects / matters. Deal directly with clients to take instructions and deliver on client expectations. Prepare effectively and work closely with partners to achieve the most appropriate solutions for the client. Effectively scope and price work, with partner support and supervision. Work closely with partners and senior lawyers to develop own client relationships Develop personal profile as an established Corporate lawyer. Input and take responsibility for business development projects in the team. Develop a network of clients, contacts and potential referrers; attend relevant networking events. Spot opportunities to cross sell and develop an internal network within the firm to increase cross referred work. Assist in team/ sector pitches as required Manage time recording, WIP monitoring and billing consistently on files and matters. Work toward personal and team KPIs, measuring performance against these. Ensure understanding of the department’s strategic goals and sets own personal activities/ objectives to align. Skills, Experience, and Attributes Qualified Solicitor with requisite knowledge and experience to fulfil the role. Previous experience within a corporate team. Strong client / project management skills with a focus on delivery of excellent client service. Organised and able to effectively prioritise.
