· A consultant-level doctor with experience in critical care.
· Strong clinical skills, with the ability to manage complex cases in a high-pressure environment.
· A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth of the critical care department.

The key responsibilities of the role will include:
· Providing comprehensive management of patients in the Critical Care Units and associated areas, ensuring high standards of patient care.
· Participate in the rota, providing resident cover to the Critical Care Unit 24/7, ensuring high standards of patient care are consistently met. The remaining contracted hours will be spent on supporting professional activities (SPA), including participation in meetings, teaching, and research.
· Delivering on-call cover as part of a 1:8 rota, in full compliance with the European Working Time Directive (EWTD).
· Offering independent, immediate care to critically ill patients, including managing airway emergencies, with support from the on-call team when necessary.
· Contributing to the 24/7 on-call service for Critical Care, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuous coverage.
· Ensuring effective communication and availability for emergencies, with arrangements in place for staff to contact you promptly when needed.
