Customs Coordinator
Location: Felixstowe
Salary: up to £30,000 (DOE)
Do you have customs brokerage experience? Are you looking for you a new and exciting role to join a growing customs team for a well-established Freight Forwarder? If yes, this opportunity could be great for you. My client is looking for an experienced Customs Coordinator in the Felixstowe area to join and support their customs team. Junior candidates will also be considered.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday - Flexible

Create job files, accurately enter data into customs software to submit entries in a timely manner.
Sense check data provided by customers against required source and advise on potential errors.
Create Import and Export declarations through using customs software such as CDS.
Track and monitor declaration status.
Liaise with all stakeholders. Dealing with any queries effectively and efficiently. Where necessary provide guidance and support on latest customs procedures and requirements.Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a customs coordinator or equivalent.
Previous experience working for a UK based Freight Forwarder or Customs Broker.
A knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office packages, Outlook etc.
Customs qualification and previous experience working with CDS is desirable.
Knowledge of HMRC compliance and regulation is desirable.
