The expert team has been involved in a number of landmark projects including the iconic 605 bedroom, 45 meeting room, Sofitel London Heathrow at Terminal 5, as well as refurbishments of the 518 bedroom Sofitel London Gatwick and the 700+ bedroom Renaissance London Heathrow Hotels. The company was also heavily involved in the design and construction of five new budget hotels at Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Aberdeen airports, the first of which opened in February 2012.
We are seeking a highly motivated experienced professional with a strong construction/ building management background to join our extremely regarded developments team as Senior Quantity Surveyor, office based 5 days a week to start immediately in the Heathrow head office.
Quantity Surveyor
The successful Quantity Surveyor will come from a main contracting background ideally chartered (MRICS) and have a stable record of employment with developing experience of working on Design and Build and Construction Management projects usingJCT contracts. The Quantity Surveyor will have experience of the full commercial function, from cost planning, procurement of sub contractors, to final accounts with a recognised contractor.
Key responsibilities
* Preparing tenders and detailed scopes of works for project(s)
* Procurement of all contractor trade packages
* Managing contractor accounts to include raising contractor payments, reviewing and
* assessing variation claims and preparing and settling final accounts
* Reviewing drawing changes
* Reviewing and approving Site Instructions where appropriate
* Producing valuation reports to advise of any cost movements
* Implementation of commercial function in line with the Commercial Policies &
* Carry out detailed package review meetings & drive value engineering opportunities of
* design & scope information
* Prepare all contract documentation and ensure accuracy of the same
* Financial accountability for the project budget
* Partnership & co-operation with the Project Team for operational and financial delivery
