Mental Health Nurse Staffordshire and Worcestershire Full-time 37.5 hours (12 week contract). Band 5 Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Registered mental health nurse to join one of our public clients working within prisons in the Staffordshire and Worcestershire. As part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide mental health care and support to individuals in custody, helping to improve their mental well-being while ensuring they have access to the care and treatment they require. What you'll do: Assessing, planning, and delivering mental health care to prisoners in accordance with their individual needs. Conducting mental health screenings and providing interventions for a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, substance misuse, and personality disorders. Offering crisis intervention and providing support for patients experiencing acute mental health episodes. Collaborating with colleagues across healthcare, probation, and security to ensure holistic care and safety within the prison environment. Developing and maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Promoting a therapeutic environment that encourages rehabilitation and recovery. What We're Looking For: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC registration. Proven experience in mental health nursing, ideally within a secure setting or similar environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Ability to work under pressure, make decisions in a fast-paced environment, and manage complex cases. Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.
