We are currently seeking a highly motivated and suitably qualified Construction Delivery Manager - Mechanical to join our Technical Communities based in the South West of England.
This role will play a critical part in supporting the delivery of mega-infrastructure projects, such as the Nuclear New Build project at Hinkley Point C (HPC).
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting tactical logistics planning, detailed planning, and implementation in collaboration with the HPC Delivery Team and Senior Construction Delivery Manager.
* Support contract partners in their delivery of works packages to enable efficient delivery of individual sections.
* Recommend temporary measures to mitigate against safety and/or quality concerns.
* Monitor works on site and input into the construction daily report to ensure information is reported up through the organisation.
* Proactively communicate/co-ordinate with other site teams to maintain good communication links and ensure activity is well and timely reported.
A key aspect of this role is effective communication with the Senior Construction Delivery Manager and other stakeholders to ensure all activity and issues are directed appropriately.
Key Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Experience and knowledge of construction sequencing, recovery plans, and resource allocation.
* A good understanding of the post holder's obligations under CDM Regulations.
* Working knowledge in the delivery of projects.
* Excellent organisation and communication skills.
* Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Construction management, or equivalent vocational training and experience.
* SMSTS or IOSH qualification holder.

The estimated annual salary range for this position is £60,000-£80,000, depending on experience.
