The Dispatch and Packing Manager has direct responsibility for all operations in the warehouse as well as shipping at the Polymer facility. This position will ensure on-time, safe distribution of our products to exceed our customer’s expectations, meet inventory accuracy goals and optimise the efficiency of the drum and bag line operations. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The following responsibilities are associated with this job role but are not limited to: Supervise warehouse employees to ensure operational standards for dispatch, inventory and packaging are met Coordinate activities of the warehouse team and work closely with production planning to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse Resolve hazards and perform incident analysis on safety occurrences in the areas Improve and update procedures and operator training. Resolve customer complaints assigned to dispatch area in a timely manner Maintain inventory to accuracy goals by conducting routine physical counts, reconciling, and inputting data Working with the 3PL to ensure stock accuracy at external warehouses. Organise miscellaneous load needs and remove barriers for employees Keep the equipment operating by enforcing operational instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, requiring preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs Maintain storage area by organising floor space and recommending improvements QUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED SKILLS Extensive supervisory experience in a production/warehouse environment Ability to lead and motivate a team Strong organisational skills Experience in a production environment is essential Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate with a diverse workforce Experience of leading improvement processes, including continuous improvement methods such as 5S would be advantageous Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Email, competent in Microsoft Access and SAP a plus Experience of working with 3PLs What's in it for you: A market competitive salary Annual bonus (dependant on the grade of the role and discretionary on business performance). 27 days holiday, including bank holidays (increasing by 1 day every 5 years to a maximum of 32 days) A contributory Company Pension Plan Death in service benefit.
