Job Description
We are seeking a Supported Living Worker to support our customers with complex needs to develop their skills for independent living, in our registered CQC service in Monkseaton, North Tyneside. This is a permanent, full-time role offering £12.00 per hour (£23,464 per annum) plus benefits including a Health Cash Plan.
This position is open to female applicants only, as a genuine occupational qualification under the Equality Act 2010. Applicants must hold a valid UK/EU Driving Licence and be over 25 years old to support customers in their own vehicle, complying with Motability Insurance criteria.
Responsibilities
1. Assist customers with daily living tasks to promote independence, helping them achieve goals in their support plans.
2. Support customers with activities such as cooking, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy, and moving to independent accommodation.
3. Support attendance at appointments, hobbies, college, or work.
4. Assist with personal care and medication as per support plans.
5. Conduct risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and reviews.
6. Build rapport with customers through casual chats and support teamwork.
Candidate Requirements
* Level 2 Health and Social Care Certificate or willingness to obtain it.
* Passion for supporting customers and attention to detail.
* Experience in caring for others, either professionally or personally.
* Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and be resilient.
* Flexible, personal approach with good listening skills.
* Valid UK/EU driving licence and over 25 years old.
