Service Engineer (South UK)
To contribute to the success of Esco through effective site service support for equipment installation, service, commissioning, breakdowns, IOQ Testing, and spares replacements. This is a key customer-facing role and requires the professionalism and manner on site to meet and exceed expectations for repeat business.
Job Description
The role will be inclusive of but not limited to the following for Esco GB Ltd:
1. Carry out installation, commissioning, validation, IOQ testing, troubleshooting or replacement of parts on client sites, but support if needed anywhere in the UK / Ireland.
2. Work with remote support as required to troubleshoot equipment failures to enable completion of work during the visit; this may require occasional working away from home.
3. Work with the site work coordinator on scheduling for work.
4. Ensure test equipment is kept in good working order and highlighted to the service coordinator when calibration is due.
5. Ensure any tools and parts required to perform the site work are taken to site for use and are maintained appropriately.
6. Carry out work effectively and efficiently to meet Esco and client requirements.
7. Ensure site work reports are generated for each site visit, contain all the correct and pertinent information, and are submitted immediately after completing the site work.
8. Give clear communications and understanding to clients and other Esco staff.
9. Work with, support, and receive support as required from other Esco colleagues, working as a team to complete larger site work activities and working alone to complete smaller site activities.
10. Support activities as required within Esco for the common success and goal of the company.
11. Provide regular updates and communication via the Viber communication tool utilized for global communications.
12. Submit expense claims, receipts, and reports in a timely manner.
13. Maintain a professional approach at all times within Esco and on site.
14. Provide feedback and reports on equipment and process issues in order to have continual improvement of products via feedback loop.
15. Maintain an honest and open approach when issues, mistakes, or errors occur, and maintain open two-way dialogue with managers and vice versa.
16. Study Esco documentation in addition to the training to ensure knowledge of the products is increased and maintained.
