Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Customer Services Officer for a Local Authority Client based in West London.
In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for customer enquiries, delivering professional support across various communication channels to ensure a high standard of customer care.
About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:
* Serve as the first point of contact for enquiries, complaints, and transactions across phone, email, and social media, covering services like Recycling and Waste, Pest Control, and Street Maintenance.
* Take complex enquiries, resolve them efficiently, and promote self-service options (websites, online forms, and social media) to support customer independence.
* Accurately search, update, and utilise databases and IT systems to process information, handle transactions, and ensure compliance with protocols.
* Work with colleagues, stay updated on policy changes, manage challenging interactions professionally, and adapt to various teams and service areas as needed.
About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
* Experience providing customer-focused service in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
* Experience handling enquiries, complaints, and transactions across multiple communication channels (phone, email, and social media).
* Experience resolving complex customer issues that require discretion, judgement, and attention to detail.
* Experience using IT systems and databases to log, process, and update customer information accurately.
What's on offer:
Salary: £16+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
