POLICY & PUBLIC AFFAIRS MANAGER Location: Blended home and office-based working, based at MindWise Head Office, Pinewood House, 46 Newforge Lane, Belfast, BT9 5NW. Hours : Flexible working options available; minimum 25 hours maximum 37.5 hours per week Salary Range: £32,957 - £36,366 (Band 5) (pro rata for part time) Starting Salary: £32,957 Duration: Permanent Closing date: 12 noon, Tuesday 3rd December 2024 All our roles make a positive impact on the lives of others, the purpose of this role is to: This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing team to champion Our Strategy 2022 – 2027 and beyond The Post Holder will be responsible for leading and managing MindWise’s Public Affairs activities (to include the development and implementation of our Policy, Public Affairs, Communication and Membership Strategies). What we ask for from you: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field e.g. Politics, Public Administration, Social Policy, Policy Studies, Business Studies A minimum of 2 years’ recent experience working in a Policy/Research role Experience and knowledge of policy making and parliamentary processes, with understanding of successful lobbying techniques of policymakers. Have proven experience of planning and executing integrated campaigns over a variety of platforms. Proven experience of ability to build and interpret data from various sources, analyse findings and present them clearly and accurately to make a clear and compelling case for policy and legislative change. Have proven experience of delivering on competing priorities within a time-pressured environment (e.g. consultation response deadlines). Ability to demonstrate alignment with MindWise’s core values of Passion, Respect, Empathy, Togetherness, Openness & Transparency Hold a current driving licence and access to a car (or have access to public transport) as this role may require the staff member to travel regionally.
