Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support during the construction and project close-out phasesSupport the design, planning and execution of construction projects within the regionPrepare technical drawings, designs and plans using AutoCADAssist in the preparation of design calculations and specifications in line with project requirementsUndertakes setting out of construction works to ensure accuracy and adherence to project plansMonitor project progress and identify potential issues, providing timely resolutions where requiredAddress any design issues identified during the construction phaseSupervises the work of contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and plan any remedial work where required.Ensure current revisions of drawings are being used on siteConduct site surveys and inspections to verify compliance with design specificationsHealth, Safety & Environmental Ensure construction activities adhere to UK Building Regulations, environmental standards and health and safety requirementsCarry out risk assessmentsLiaise with regulatory authorities to obtain relevant permits and ensure project complianceComply with company procedures and legal obligationsTechnical SupportSupport Civil Engineers in preparing project documentation, including reports, schedules and cost estimatesInterpret technical drawings and provide guidance to site teams to ensure clarity and accuracy.Key Measures and TargetsAccurate and timely setting out of the worksTimely handover of works and Quality records without outstanding defectsProduction of accurate records, drawing registers and weekly diariesKey RelationshipsSite Agents, Site Engineers and ForemanWider site workforceCustomer technical representativesAbout you Essential Sound knowledge and understanding of construction methods and processes and civil engineering principlesExperience in using AutoCAD and MS OfficeAttention to details with a proactive approach to identify and reolsve issuesDegree/HNC qualified, or equivalent, in civil engineeringExcellent communication and problem solving skills with the ability to liaise effectively with both clients and staffDesirable Temporary-works co-ordinationCSCS cardCable avoidance trainingFirst aid trainingConfined space trainingCaring and investing in youOur values have been embedded at Barhale for over 40 years and they are our guiding principle regarding how we care and invest in people.
