The Senior Manager for Data & AI Corporate Units defines and executes the data and AI strategy for Corporate Units, working in close collaboration with the CU CDO team and the Data and AI centres of excellence. You'll deliver data and AI products and services that enable the unit to run optimally and realise value, in alignment with the business and Digital priorities and commitments. This includes enabling Corporate Units to transform into a data driven, AI first run business unit. Underpinning the success of the strategy are our people, using our collective expertise in Data and AI to partner with the organization and drive a data-led culture. You will lead a dedicated Corporate Units Data & AI team which houses key capabilities including product, strategic business partnering, data analytics, business intelligence, solution design, DPN engineering and data modelling. You'll draw on our central teams to provide domain specific expertise (e.g. data science, solution architecture, platform engineering and data management). What you'll be doing - Fixate on deeply understanding the Corporate Units requirements and external market opportunities to drive growth, customer experience and efficiencies within Corporate Units through Data & AI - Work with the team to build the overall strategy for Data & AI in the unit, interlocking with the wider pan-BT strategy. - Be the main strategic partner and technical connection point into Data & AI for all Corporate Units data and AI requirements - Data & AI Product ownership - accountable for the validation, build, delivery and evolution of data & AI products and use-cases through cross-functional squads - Engineering and solution design - provide the technical capabilities to design, build and quality manage data & AI features / products / solutions / journeys that are prioritised into Data & AI led squads or into CU/CDO-led squads - Data & AI Services - build the reporting capabilities for the business, including operational and contractual reporting, enabling scaled automation and self-serve where appropriate - Business intelligence - provide data analysis for commercial/business insights and for Data & Ai product development - Work across the Chief Data & AI Office to align architecture, strategy, plans and investment with business needs. - Alignment of annual plan and capex plan to the strategic roadmap, prioritising demand and recommendation of investment decisions to achieve commercial outcomes and create business value. - Interlock with the CDO team and central Data & AI teams on delivery to ensure clear ownership and effective ways of working across complex, cross-functional deliverables. - Run the Corporate Units data council, in alignment with centrally issued standards, ensuring best-practice data management is adopted within the business - Drive adoption of Data and AI initiatives and innovation into Corporate Units, working with 3rd parties as appropriate to drive speed and scale.
