Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturing business with a small and friendly team. As a finance manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the finance department, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day tasks. You will also need to ensure all group finance requests/reports are completed in line with guidance.
Skills Required
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Hold relevant accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Significant technical knowledge and experience in accountancy.
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Experience of managing other people.
Key Duties:
* Preparation of monthly reports to group and local management.
* Reconciliation of various accounts (inventory, fixed assets etc.)
* Other monthly and quarterly finance reports (Balance sheet, Cash reports, KPI figures)
* Preparation of annual and semi-annual P&L report packages.
* Cashflow monitoring and forecasting.
* VAT reports.
* Preparation of budgets.
* Preparation of statutory accounts.
* Liaising with external auditors.
* Back-up on payroll and accounts payable.
* Approval of rebate credit notes.
* Take part in the appropriate training required to carry out the duties of the post and to enhance personal development.
* Take responsibility for your own Health and Safety, always ensuring that you comply with company policies and procedures.
* Any other relevant task that is required.
* Ensure reports as stipulated by group finance are submitted in line with reporting target dates.
* Ensure VAT Returns are submitted in line with HMRC deadlines.
* Ensure that information is provided to the external auditors in line with agreed deadlines.
Full or part-time will be considered, from 2-5 days.
