Our public sector client is looking for a Technical Fleet Administrator to join them on a temporary basis. Location: Croft, Leicestershire | 21 hours per week (flexible across 3–5 days, school hours considered) Join the Driver and Vehicle Management team to support the smooth running of Leicestershire County Council’s fleet operations. This front-facing, office-based role involves assisting with technical data analysis, updating records, and handling administrative tasks linked to vehicle compliance, maintenance, procurement, hire, and driver management. Full training provided. Initial 3–6 month contract with strong potential to extend. Main Duties: Support the departments core processes including the day to day running of the team / department To act as the first point of contact for internal and external customers of the fleet vehicle workshop, both face to face and via the telephone, ensuring a resolution to queries and complaints in a timely and professional manner. To Liaise/work with the workshop management team in order to process and resolve all customer queries. To assist in the running and maintenance of the vehicle management system, ensuring all records are up to date and accurate. To process invoices for goods and services received by the vehicle workshop. This may relate to collation of worksheets, coding and checking prices and raising invoices for re-charging and highlighting discrepancies to the line manager To be the first point of contact in the resolution of financial matters including processing invoice information for payment, payment issues, income and expenditure and pro-actively dealing with queries from suppliers To communicate maintenance schedules to the client base and assist with re-arranging appointments to a mutually agreeable time as required. To support the vehicle insurance claims process by providing documentation to the insurance team as required And other duties. Experience Experience of workshop or construction administration (D) Clerical experience in a range of tasks to include word processing, filing, photocopying, faxing, taking and relaying messages, data inputting / maintaining records. Using office software packages, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Working knowledge of databases, including be-spoke systems.
