Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering exclusively with a leading & rapidly growing organisation to recruit a dynamic & driven Management Accountant/Finance Manager for their offices based near Berkeley, Stroud, Gloucestershire. A unique opportunity in a newly created growth role reporting directly to the Group Financial Director with clear career development & progression. The role will support the organisation through a strong period of rapid growth to deliver management reporting & financial development. The position will grow as you develop into the organisation to eventually overseeing a small finance team while remaining hands-on. Open to part-qualified/finalist CIMA/ACCA/ACA studiers who really want to add value to an organisation within a unique sector, study package on offer with training/mentorship.
Your new role
Your key duties will involve supporting the Group Finance Director in overseeing monitoring reporting systems, accurate preparation/reporting of financial information, managing/developing accounting/financial reporting, along with being involved in process improvement projects. You will prepare monthly management accounts, accruals, prepayments, journals, maintain fixed asset register through to financial accounts/audit preparation. You will be involved in balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting/forecasting processes, bank reconciliations, along with financial analysis. You will support the supervision of a small accounting team with oversight of transactional duties including purchase/sales ledger and payroll processes. Your duties will grow as you develop in the role and business, and you will be involved in ad-hoc projects/duties for senior management.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this hands-on Finance Manager/Management Accountant role, you will ideally have experience in a similar position, key MS Excel skills and be trained in a range of accounting systems. You will be a part-qualified/finalist CIMA/ACCA/ACA working towards full completion, willing to learn and progress, with a desire to improve processes/systems, have effective time management skills and be able to adapt to business needs through a period of change/growth. You will have experience formulating/preparing management accounts, with strong communication skills to partner both internally/externally at all levels. Experience with Sage 50 accounts/payroll and supervisory skills would be advantageous but not essential.
What you'll get in return
This progressive Finance Manager/Management Accountant role offers a salary between £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience based near Berkeley, Stroud, Gloucestershire.
